National Airlines Maintenance Staff Attains FAA Diamond Award for 2013
February 7, 2014
Training and reinforcement of safety principles is an important part of an effective Safety Management System. Training and education is one of the key steps in the establishment of an "informed" safety culture. One of the key pillars of an SMS is Safety Promotion, which is done largely through the training process. One department that has taken this concept to heart is our aircraft maintenance department, which is actively involved in the FAA's AMT Award Program.
National Airlines Maintenance staff has once again captured the FAA Diamond Award for 2013. Through the hard work and tough schedules our 32 eligible technical staff was able to complete the training requirements. The entire maintenance staff (including all management personnel) has received individual awards of achievement for a total of 42 awards. All eligible maintenance employees including the late year new hires were able to complete the necessary training and record it with the FAA.
